InterGlobe Enterprises Expands Hospitality Footprint into Europe with Miiro Boutique Hotels

According to News Butya, InterGlobe m Carye in Paris and Borneta in Barcelona, with plans to establish additional properties across Europe in the coming years.

Neena Gupta, CEO of Miiro, confirmed these developments, sharing the brand’s ambitious future expansion strategy during an interview with PTI.

**Expansion Plans: New Launches in London and Vienna**

Miiro’s expansion continues with upcoming launches in London and Vienna, scheduled for 2025. The London property, Templeton Garden, will be situated in the picturesque Earl’s Court area. This hotel will feature 156 rooms, offering amenities such as a cafe-deli, a neighborhood restaurant, a vibrant bar, and an outdoor food & beverage experience within a spacious garden oasis.

Following the London launch, Miiro plans to open two strategically located hotels in Vienna, providing over 200 rooms collectively. With additional openings planned for 2026, Miiro is set to significantly expand its presence in Europe. Gupta emphasized that each Miiro property is unique, reflecting the local neighborhood, community, and architectural style of its location.

**InterGlobe’s Hospitality Division: A Growing Portfolio**

InterGlobe, the largest shareholder in the Mumbai-listed IndiGo, operates a hospitality division that includes hotels in India and abroad. Through a partnership with French hospitality group Accor, InterGlobe manages roughly 7,000 rooms across 30 hotels in India. Miiro is a wholly-owned subsidiary of InterGlobe, further enhancing the company’s diverse portfolio.

**Miiro: A Boutique Lifestyle Brand for the Modern Traveler**

Miiro, inspired by the Latin word ‘miro,’ meaning ‘I wonder,’ is a boutique lifestyle hotel brand designed for self-assured travelers. The brand blends homely comfort with modern amenities in city centers, allowing guests to experience life as locals do. Gupta stated that Miiro’s mission is “to purchase high-yield assets in iconic locations” and transform them into unique lifestyle properties.

**Strategic Acquisitions and Future Growth**

Since 2018, InterGlobe has acquired 13 hotel properties in key cities such as London, Barcelona, Vienna, Paris, Hamburg, Gstaad, Munich, Amsterdam, Prague, and Budapest. Three of these properties have been converted into Miiro hotels. Gupta highlighted that the choice of location and iconic buildings is central to their acquisition strategy, with future expansions potentially including cities like Milan or Florence in Italy.

Miiro’s strategic growth reflects InterGlobe’s commitment to enhancing its hospitality offerings and catering to the evolving needs of modern travelers.
