In a remarkable global recognition of its sustainability-first business philosophy, ITC Hotels Limited (ITCHL) has been named the World’s Leading Sustainable Organisation 2025 at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA). The company also bagged three additional honours — World’s Leading Sustainable Food & Nutrition Initiative 2025, World’s Leading Sustainable Marketing Campaign 2025, and World’s Leading Sustainable Employer 2025— taking its total tally to four awards, the highest for any organisation this year.
This global recognition underscores ITC Hotels’ Responsible Luxury ethos, which seamlessly blends sustainability, wellness, and community engagement into the core of its hospitality experiences. The winners were chosen through a rigorous four-stage process involving nominations, pre-evaluation by the Sustainable Business Institute, shortlisting by the WSTHA Advisory Board, and global voting.

The WSTHA 2025 awards, presented in partnership with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (WSHA) — a global non-profit representing over 66,000 hotels and 300 brands — highlight the growing focus on sustainability within the travel and hospitality sectors. WSHA provides tools and frameworks to help member hotels reduce their environmental footprint and foster community development.

Launched during COP28 in Dubai, the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards celebrate global excellence in climate action, biodiversity conservation, community engagement, and responsible business practices within hospitality. The programme is guided by a distinguished advisory board that includes leaders from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Responsible Tourism Institute (supported by UNWTO), and aligns closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Net Positive framework.
The 2025 awards ceremony took place on October 29, 2025, at Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion, Expo City Dubai, offering ITC Hotels a global stage to showcase its leadership in sustainable luxury hospitality and its ongoing mission to redefine what it means to travel responsibly in the modern world.
