The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has announced its debut in Jaisalmer with The Leela Jaisalmer, a luxury desert resort and spa developed in partnership with The Godwin Group. Spread across 30 acres in Rajasthan’s Thar Desert, the 80-key property is set to open in 2026, marking The Leela’s first desert resort and expanding its presence across India’s leisure and cultural destinations.

“This signing strategically expands our footprint in one of India’s most evocative landscapes,” said Anuraag Bhatnagar, CEO, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts. “With travel demand growing, The Leela is poised to welcome discerning travellers seeking meaningful experiences.”
Chiranjeev Singh Bajwa of Godwin Hotels added, “This collaboration brings The Leela’s legacy of luxury to the Golden City,” while Tanveer Singh Bajwa noted, “Together, we aim to create a sanctuary that reimagines desert hospitality for modern travellers.”
