Abhilash Matam takes over as the new Director of Operations of Kochi Marriott Hotel

Kochi Marriott appoints Abhilash Matam as the new Director of Operations. Abhilash is an all-round highly motivated and accomplished hospitality professional, with extensive strategic operations expertise in Luxury, Midscale and Budget Hotels, leading international hotel management teams, and is proficient in Rooms Division related to the daily successful running of a hotel. Prior to this role he has been with IBIS and Adagio (Doha), also worked with chains such as Accor, Oberoi and Marriott International

He is result driven, possesses exemplary management skills for the development and motivation of teams, and enjoys embracing new challenges, identifying potential improvements and implementing changes, which maximise business efficiency and profitability. Abhilash has pre-opening hotel experience and is adept at overseeing the day-to-day operations in his role.

Abhilash is fond of taking long drives in his free time and he enjoys playing cricket.
