Sofitel Ahmedabad Palladium Mall Road to mark the luxury brand’s entry into Gujarat
Accor has signed an agreement to develop a 250-room Sofitel hotel in Ahmedabad, marking the French luxury brand’s entry into Gujarat. Sofitel Ahmedabad Palladium Mall Road is scheduled to open in 2030.
The hotel will be developed in Thaltej by Fanidhar Infra & Hospitality LLP, promoted by Krunal Rajiv Bhai Patel and Haresh Patel. The project will include 250 guestrooms, five food and beverage outlets and around 2,550 sq m of banqueting and MICE space.
The property will also feature a kids’ club and wellness and leisure facilities, positioning it to cater to corporate and leisure demand as well as weddings, social events and business gatherings.
Maud Bailly, CEO, Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, said the signing marks the brand’s entry into Ahmedabad and will combine Sofitel’s French positioning with local cultural influences.
Accor South Asia CEO Ranju Alex said the project reflects the group’s strategy of expanding its luxury portfolio in destinations with long-term business potential. She pointed to Ahmedabad’s expanding business ecosystem and growing global relevance as key factors behind the signing.
The hotel is expected to benefit from Ahmedabad’s expanding corporate ecosystem, including the growth of GIFT City, industrial activity and improving connectivity, alongside demand from business and leisure travellers.
Krunal Rajiv Bhai Patel, Haresh Patel, Vishal Pandya and Kaushal Patel, Promoters, Fanidhar Infra & Hospitality LLP, said the partnership with Accor would support the development of a premium hospitality destination combining accommodation, dining, wellness and large-format events.
Accor currently operates 77 hotels across luxury, premium, midscale and economy segments in India and South Asia.
