Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has unveiled a new chapter in hospitality with the launch of luxury caravans at the Tourism Tech AI 2.0 Conclave in Vijayawada. In collaboration with Hyderabad Luxe Caravans, two models—a 10-12 seater and a 6-seater—promise to revolutionize travel by offering hotel-grade amenities on wheels.
Each caravan is equipped with premium features like beds, mini-conference spaces, a kitchenette, air conditioning, and security systems. This initiative addresses the shortage of star hotel rooms across key tourist circuits while providing a seamless, high-end experience for travelers.
Amrapali Kata, APTDC Managing Director, highlighted the strategic advantage of this innovation: “Luxury caravans provide an economical alternative to traditional hospitality infrastructure, delivering comfort and convenience without the hefty cost of building hotels.”
With a per-day cost of approximately INR 40,000 for 10 members, caravans offer a competitive and unique option for family travel. Initial routes include Hyderabad-Gandikota and Hyderabad-Suryalanka, with flexibility for custom destinations.
Set to commence operations on July 30, this initiative not only enhances the state’s tourism landscape but also redefines luxury hospitality on the move, blending convenience with cultural exploration.
