Brij Hotels expands its experiential luxury portfolio with the launch of Brij Sone Bagh, Bandhavgarh — an intimate jungle retreat set on the edge of the iconic Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Spread across 32 acres of pristine forest, the property sits amidst the Vindhya Hills, surrounded by ancient Sal trees, traditional tribal villages, and the 2,000-year-old Bandhavgarh Fort that watches over the land. A gentle river winds through the retreat, enhancing its natural serenity and deep sense of connection with nature.
Located just five minutes from the main gate of Bandhavgarh National Park and a scenic three-and-a-half-hour drive from Jabalpur Airport, the journey itself is an immersive passage through the heart of Madhya Pradesh.
With only five bespoke villas spread across expansive wilderness, Brij Sone Bagh redefines luxury through space, seclusion, and authenticity. Guests enjoy a front-row seat to one of the world’s most celebrated tiger habitats — where nature, heritage, and culture coexist in quiet harmony. Each villa blends local art traditions with modern comfort, offering a deeply sensory stay.
“Brij Sone Bagh is a celebration of central India — its forests, wildlife, and tribal heritage. We envisioned a space that blends luxury with authenticity, where every detail tells a story of the land and its people,” says Udit Kumar, Co-Founder, Brij Hotels.
Immersive Safaris & Slow Travel Experiences
Days at Brij Sone Bagh flow to the rhythm of the forest. Guided safaris reveal the magic of mist-laden Sal woods, while curated walking trails lead to hidden ruins, tribal hamlets, and panoramic fort views. Guests can join local experiences — from nature walks through Baiga villages to live chutney-making or block-printing sessions over hi-tea.
Evenings come alive at the Elephant Bar, a breezy hideaway perfect for sundowners and starlit conversations. Poolside dinners, tribal performances, and regional menus rooted in local produce complete the experience.
A Celebration of Design & Craft
Designed by Atelier15 under architect Deepika Sethi, Brij Sone Bagh draws inspiration from the raw beauty of central India. Built from natural stone and timber, it blends seamlessly into the forest. Local materials — cane, bamboo, and metalwork — meet handwoven textiles and tribal artistry, with each villa thematically inspired by a native animal of Bandhavgarh.
Sustainability & Community at the Core
Environmental and social responsibility shape every aspect of Brij Sone Bagh. Every tree was preserved, and pathways follow the land’s natural contours. Passive cooling and wildlife-friendly lighting ensure low-impact operations year-round. Most team members are from nearby villages, while ingredients are sourced locally, celebrating seasonal and regional cuisine.
Sustainable construction practices repurposed materials from original structures, preserving both ecology and heritage.
