Chalet Hotels Limited has announced that it has successfully achieved the Climate Group’s EV100 commitment, becoming the first hospitality brand in India to do so. The milestone comes as the company transitions its entire fleet to 100% electric vehicles (EVs) and installs comprehensive charging infrastructure across all its properties—four years ahead of its 2030 deadline.
A member of EV100 since 2021, Chalet pledged to electrify its fleet by 2025. By delivering on this commitment, it not only strengthens its Net Zero roadmap for 2040 but also aligns with India’s national e-mobility mission and the Paris Agreement’s climate goals.
Dr. Sanjay Sethi, MD & CEO, Chalet Hotels, said, “Hospitality must lead the way in sustainable choices. By going fully electric, we’re cutting emissions, improving air quality, and giving guests greener travel options.”
Dr. Divya Sharma, India Executive Director, Climate Group, added, “Chalet Hotels is the first in Indian hospitality to turn EV100 ambition into action. Their achievement sets a powerful example for the industry.”
With this feat, Chalet Hotels cements its position as a pioneer in sustainable hospitality, championing green mobility while enhancing guest experiences.
