The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) has been honoured with the “Best Hotel in Budget” award at the 10th B2B International Tourism Expo, Conclave and Travel Awards (ITCTA) 2025. The ceremony took place in New Delhi on July 26, celebrating excellence in the hospitality and tourism sector.
Harmilan Singh, deputy general manager (hotels), accepted the award on behalf of CITCO, amid an audience of global tourism professionals, government officials, and industry leaders.
The award recognises CITCO’s commitment to offering affordable yet quality hospitality services, focusing on guest satisfaction and modern service standards. Over the past year, CITCO has implemented several upgrades — including hotel renovations, strategic partnerships with platforms like MakeMyTrip, and the launch of new promotional dining menus catering to both tourists and locals.
CITCO’s managing director, Hari Kallikkat, expressed pride in the achievement, calling it a “proud moment for Chandigarh.” He credited the recognition to the team’s consistent efforts to enhance infrastructure, improve service delivery, and embrace innovation.
The accolade reinforces CITCO’s position as a key player in India’s budget hospitality segment, aligning with the city’s growing reputation as a tourist-friendly destination.
