The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) will host the FPO–Hospitality & Farmer’s Benefit Summit on 24 November 2025 in New Delhi. The event, themed “Bridging Fields to Forks,” aims to strengthen links between the agriculture and hospitality sectors and promote inclusive growth.
India’s hospitality industry, a key contributor to GDP and employment, relies heavily on farmers for fresh produce, dairy, grains and processed goods. However, structured partnerships between Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and hotels remain limited. FHRAI said the Summit will create a national platform to enable direct engagement between FPOs, hospitality chains and policymakers, helping reduce post-harvest losses and boosting local sourcing.
The Summit will focus on building sustainable supply chains, supporting circular economy practices and developing long-term procurement models. Ministries including Tourism, Agriculture, Food Processing, along with NABARD, APEDA, SFAC and NAFED, are expected to participate.
FHRAI president Surendra Kumar Jaiswal said the initiative aims to connect farmers and hospitality entrepreneurs more effectively. “By linking producers and the service sector, we can build resilient, transparent and inclusive supply chains that benefit both communities and the economy,” he said.
