Grand Mercure Mysore has announced the appointment of Suresh Kumar as its new Food and Beverage Manager, reinforcing its focus on operational excellence and elevated dining experiences.
A hospitality professional with over two decades of industry experience, Suresh joins the property from ibis Styles Mysuru, where he played a key role in the hotel’s formative growth phase. During his tenure, he helped shape the food and beverage positioning of its signature outlets — The Verandah, Flamingo Bar and rooftop venue KA 16 — establishing them as preferred dining destinations in the city.
Suresh has previously held leadership positions including Banquet Manager at Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, as well as Restaurant Manager at Taj Hotels. His expertise spans menu engineering, cost optimisation and strategic business planning.
At Grand Mercure Mysore, he will oversee end-to-end food and beverage operations, with responsibility for the hotel’s signature outlets — La Uppu, By The Blue and Silk Bar. His mandate includes strengthening service standards, driving guest satisfaction and enhancing overall business performance.

A recipient of the IHC London and IIHM International Hospitality Day Award 2023, Suresh continues to focus on nurturing talent and elevating operational benchmarks in line with the hotel’s growth vision.
