Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway in association with Vidya Sagar Organisation celebrates Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway unveiled its iconic Christmas tree and their Gingerbread House in association with Vidya Sagar Organization (NGO) a centre for special education in the presence of Ms.Ummul Khair (Head Coordinator, Vidya Sagar Organization) and Divakar Shukla (General Manager, Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway).

Wearing their Christmas hats & safety face masks, folks of Chennai welcomed the festive season by lighting up the Christmas tree at Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway. They celebrated peace, good will and the holiday season at the hotel’s fun-filled annual event of ‘Tree Lighting Ceremony’. They saw Santa Claus making a very special visit, cheering up everyone with a bunch of chocolates & sweets.

Speaking on the occasion, Divakar Shukla, General Manager, Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway said “Our annual Christmas tree lighting celebration is a gesture from Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway to thank the society for everything and to also help the underprivileged. Today we have invited Vidya Sagar Organization to be part of the celebration, they contributed and helped the society in many ways, especially for children with disabilities. We are now looking forward to a more festive season celebration on Christmas and New Year as we have planned exciting food festivals and activities at Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway.”

Ummul Khair, Head Coordinator, Vidya Sagar Organization added “It was such a privilege having been invited by Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway to be part of their Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Hotel contributes yearly for the underprivileged, and Vidya Sagar Organization is blessed to be part of their celebration this year. We hope a lot of Hospitality and Corporate sectors celebrate their festive season with Non-Profit Organizations and help our society.”

The ceremony showcased season’s freshly baked rich plum cakes, Christmas goodies, stollen breads and hand-rolled chocolates which the guest can buy as gift hampers from the hotel’s Deli G Bakery. The culinary brigade of the hotel also gave a sneak peek into the Christmas tasting menu with some unique small plates.

The joyful soiree was being hosted by serving the best of Christmas Special Wines & Shooters, followed by hors d’oeuvres by Executive Chef Asif Iqbal which was admired & appreciated by all the guests.
