In a move to enhance industry collaboration and representation, the Hotel And Restaurant Association Western India(HRAWI) has signed a strategic MoU with the Indore Hoteliers Association and the Lonavala Khandala Hotel and Restaurant Association.
Structured partnership
Under the agreement, HRAWI will act as the Principal Partner, while IHA and LKHRA will serve as Regional Partners, creating a coordinated framework to address sectoral challenges and strengthen representation across regions.
Unified industry voice
The collaboration aims to expand membership, improve advocacy, and enable a more unified industry voice at both regional and national levels through the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India.
Jimmy Shaw, President, HRAWI, said the MoU marks a pivotal step toward building a stronger and more cohesive hospitality ecosystem through shared advocacy and collaborative problem-solving.
Regional impact
For regional associations, the partnership is expected to enhance access to broader platforms and improve the ability to address local challenges. Sumit Suri, President, IHA, noted that the alliance would strengthen representation and enable more effective engagement on industry issues.
Growing micro-markets
Highlighting the importance of regional markets, Madhav Todi of LKHRA said destinations like Lonavala Khandala are emerging as key hospitality hubs driven by leisure and MICE demand, necessitating stronger alignment and policy engagement.
Industry outlook
The MoU is expected to drive membership growth, improve policy advocacy, and foster greater cohesion across the hospitality sector, particularly in emerging and high-growth micro-markets.
