IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Hanu Overseas to introduce its luxury and lifestyle brand, Vignette Collection, to India. The first Vignette Collection hotel in the country is scheduled to open in Panchkula in early 2026, marking a significant step in IHG’s strategy to expand its footprint in India’s fast-growing luxury hospitality segment.
Designed as a portfolio of distinctive, one-of-a-kind hotels, Vignette Collection caters to travellers seeking immersive, locally inspired experiences. The brand allows independent hotels to retain their unique identity while leveraging IHG’s global scale, distribution network, and luxury expertise. Known for its focus on purposeful luxury, authentic storytelling, and memorable guest rituals, the brand aligns with evolving preferences of modern luxury travellers.
Located in the rapidly developing Chandigarh Metropolitan Region, Panchkula benefits from strong economic activity driven by IT parks, manufacturing hubs, pharmaceutical companies, PSUs, and leading national institutions. The tri-city region has also emerged as a key destination for business travel, MICE, and social events.
The 145-room hotel, including 11 suites, will feature four dining venues, a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, curated retail spaces, and over 2,200 sq. metres of meeting and event facilities, positioning it strongly for conferences and weddings.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the brand’s India debut reflects growing demand for personalised luxury experiences. Aman Gupta of Hanu Overseas added that the partnership aims to set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the region.
The signing further strengthens IHG’s presence in the Chandigarh region, complementing upcoming properties in Zirakpur.
