Institute of Hotel Management Ranchi and Nile Hospitality have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing hospitality education through practical training and professional exposure in Jharkhand.
The agreement, signed by Bhupesh Kumar and Yogesh Kumar, seeks to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements by providing students with hands-on experience aligned with global hospitality standards.
Under the partnership, students will gain access to industrial exposure training, internships, on-the-job training, live industry projects, campus recruitment drives, research collaborations and employment opportunities across multiple hospitality segments. The initiative is designed to equip aspiring professionals with operational expertise, service excellence skills and leadership capabilities required in the modern hospitality sector.
The collaboration will also facilitate guest lectures, masterclasses, webinars and interactive sessions led by industry experts, offering students exposure to emerging hospitality trends, innovative technologies and international best practices.
Officials said the MoU places a strong emphasis on experiential learning, enabling students to participate in real-time hotel operations and industry projects that strengthen problem-solving, communication, teamwork and managerial competencies.
Beyond student development, the agreement includes joint research, consultancy assignments, seminars, conferences and faculty exposure programs, allowing educators to stay aligned with evolving industry practices and enhance academic delivery.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhupesh Kumar described the partnership as a major step toward improving employability and preparing students for global hospitality careers. Yogesh Kumar highlighted the growing opportunities in the hospitality sector and stressed the importance of practical industry exposure in shaping future professionals.
