ITC Hotels Limited (ITCHL) has expanded its footprint in Uttarakhand with the opening of the 63-key Fortune Lakeview Bhimtal, taking its portfolio in the state to 12 operational properties as it strengthens its presence across India’s high-growth leisure destinations.
Located on the banks of Bhimtal Lake, the hotel is positioned to cater to leisure travellers, destination weddings, corporate off-sites and small-format conferences. The property offers guestrooms and suites overlooking the lake and the surrounding Himalayan landscape, while providing access to nearby tourism hubs including Nainital, Sattal, Naukuchiatal and Kainchi Dham.
Commenting on the launch, Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said, “Uttarakhand holds a special place in our portfolio, and the opening of our 12th hotel in the region speaks of our confidence in its growing appeal among travellers seeking meaningful experiences. Fortune Lakeview Bhimtal marks a happy milestone in our expansion journey around India’s high-growth and emerging leisure markets.”
The hotel features banquet and conference facilities for up to 200 guests alongside a dedicated boardroom, targeting the growing demand for corporate retreats, leadership meetings and intimate social events. Recreational amenities include an all-weather swimming pool, fitness centre and a spa scheduled to open soon.
Food and beverage offerings comprise Zodiac, the all-day dining restaurant serving Kumaoni and international cuisine, Neptune Bar, and the upcoming rooftop restaurant Nakshatra, which will offer open-air dining overlooking the lake.
The opening also reflects ITC Hotels’ strategy of strengthening its presence in emerging leisure destinations supported by improved road connectivity from Delhi NCR and western Uttar Pradesh. Bhimtal continues to witness increasing demand driven by outdoor recreation, nature tourism and experiential travel.
Hemant Dwivedi, Owner of Fortune Lakeview Bhimtal, said the property is expected to contribute to regional tourism growth while generating local employment and serving as a preferred venue for leisure stays, weddings and corporate gatherings.
With the latest addition, ITC Hotels’ Uttarakhand portfolio now spans Mussoorie, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Haldwani, Ranikhet, Jim Corbett, Nainital and Bhimtal, with upcoming projects planned in Selaqui and Mukteshwar.
