ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a 90-key Fortune Select hotel in Guwahati, strengthening its expansion strategy across India’s high-growth markets and marking a significant addition to its presence in Northeast India.
Scheduled to open in April 2028, the hotel will feature well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, banquet and conferencing facilities, along with modern amenities designed for business and leisure travellers.
Commenting on the development, Anil Chadha said Guwahati is emerging as a highly attractive market with a growing business ecosystem and strong leisure appeal, making it an ideal destination for quality branded hospitality offerings.
As a major commercial and tourism gateway to the Northeast, Guwahati attracts visitors heading to destinations such as Kamakhya Temple, Kaziranga National Park, Hajo and Madan Kamdev. Improved air, rail and road connectivity, along with rapid infrastructure growth, continue to drive hospitality demand in the region.
