ITC Kohenur celebrated International Women’s Day with the launch of L.E.A.P (Leadership, Excellence, and Aspiration Programme) under the umbrella of Project Nur, its guiding premise rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Aimed at identifying and nurturing the talent of ITC Kohenur’s women workforce, L.E.A.P aims at providing a level playing field and the right professional opportunities, enabling them to occupy leadership positions within the organization. The recently launched Ladies Club will bring together women and inspirational individuals from all walks of life to share their experiences, learn from one another, and grow together.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, the session featured the inspiring Sufiya Sufi Runner, a Guinness World Record breaking ultra-runner whose experience is a testament to the power of hard work, determination, and perseverance. Sufiya Sufi, is a renowned ultrarunner from India best known for her ultra-distance running challenges across the country. In 2019, Sufiya became the fastest female runner to complete the Trans India Running challenge 4000 kms in just 87 days. She holds the world record for the fastest runner to finish the Golden Quadrilateral Road Run 6000 km, Manali-Leh Himalayan Ultra Run Challenge, and Siachen-Kargil Ultra Run. On 12th January 2023, Sufiya did her first international Run in QATAR. She completed 193 km in just 30 hours and 31 minutes and broke the previous male record by more than 3 hours difference and became the fastest runner to Run Across QATAR. Sufiya holds 4 Guinness World Records for her various ultra-distance running expeditions.
Sufiya was present at ITC Kohenur for a candid and engaging session as she spoke about her journey through fitness and running offering insights into health and taking the leap towards your goals and ambitions. Associates enjoyed a personal interaction with Sufiya followed by a high tea.
