Royal Orchid Hotels embarks on expansion, plans to add 30-35 new properties across India

Royal Orchid Hotels, under the stewardship of Chairman and Managing Director Chander K Baljee, is poised for extensive expansion across India in the fiscal year 2024-25. With plans to introduce 30-35 new properties boasting approximately 2,000 rooms, the company aims to solidify its presence in key locations nationwide. Baljee emphasized the company’s swift expansion, already surpassing 100 hotels and eagerly anticipating the addition of these new establishments.

The expansion strategy encompasses diverse regions, with a particular focus on areas where Royal Orchid Hotels currently lacks a presence, such as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Baljee affirmed the intention to diversify across various segments through management contracts, with no company-owned properties planned, although some may operate under a flexi-lease revenue sharing model.

In terms of employment, the addition of 2,000 rooms translates to significant job creation, with each room typically requiring at least one staff member. As Royal Orchid Hotels prepares to welcome these new properties into its portfolio, extensive training initiatives are underway to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Recognizing the burgeoning trend of India emerging as a sought-after wedding destination, the company is keen to capitalize on this market. With 20 wedding destinations already established nationwide, plans are underway to augment this portfolio with the addition of four to five new locations annually. These wedding destinations will span a variety of settings, from wildlife and heritage resorts to hillside and beachside venues, catering to diverse preferences and preferences.

Currently, Royal Orchid Hotels boasts a presence in more than 65 locations across India, extending its reach into neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka and Nepal. As the hospitality industry evolves and demand grows, the company remains committed to its vision of providing exceptional experiences and expanding its footprint both domestically and internationally.
