Dividend Strategy Reflects Hospitality Asset Growth
Sunday PropTech Limited, also known as OYO Assets, has announced a dividend payout of 5% of its annual EBITDA to shareholders, signalling a strong commitment to shareholder returns within the hospitality asset ownership space.
Backed by PRISM, the company funded this distribution through operating cash flows, highlighting confidence in its financial stability and disciplined capital allocation strategy as it continues to scale.
EBITDA Performance Drives Investor Confidence
The payout comes at a time when Sunday PropTech’s portfolio is demonstrating improved operational performance, with a proforma EBITDA of approximately ₹60 crore. This milestone reflects strengthening asset efficiency and growing stability across its hospitality investments.
As Saurav Agarwal, Board Member, Sunday PropTech, stated, “Our objective is to build a high-quality hospitality asset portfolio that delivers both sustainable growth and consistent cash returns. The dividend payout reflects the strength of our operating model and our confidence in the long-term cash-generating potential of the company, while continuing to reinvest prudently for future growth.”
Premium Hospitality Assets Anchor Portfolio Expansion
The company continues to focus on acquiring and developing premium and mid-premium hospitality assets, positioning itself within a high-growth segment of the industry. Its long-term strategy is centred on generating consistent returns alongside capital appreciation.
A recent acquisition of eight premium serviced-apartment hotels, valued at approximately ₹800 crore, underscores this approach. These assets will be operated under PRISM’s brand ecosystem, including Sunday Hotels and Belvilla, enabling brand-driven positioning and operational alignment.
Technology-Led Hospitality Operations Enhance Returns
A key differentiator in Sunday PropTech’s model is its integration with PRISM’s full-stack technology platform. Centralised revenue management, advanced distribution systems and data-driven pricing strategies are expected to drive occupancy growth and margin expansion across the portfolio.
This tech-enabled approach reflects a broader shift in hospitality asset management, where operational efficiency and digital infrastructure play a critical role in enhancing financial performance.
Capital Allocation Balances Growth and Returns
The company’s dividend payout, alongside continued reinvestment in asset expansion, highlights a balanced capital strategy. By combining debt and equity funding for acquisitions, Sunday PropTech aims to optimise returns while maintaining financial flexibility.
This dual focus on growth and shareholder returns positions the company within a new generation of hospitality investment platforms that prioritise both scale and profitability.
Hospitality Investment Landscape Evolves
As the hospitality sector continues to mature, asset ownership models like Sunday PropTech’s are gaining traction. Investors are increasingly looking for platforms that offer not just capital appreciation but also predictable cash flows.
With its early dividend declaration and expanding portfolio, Sunday PropTech signals a shift toward more structured, performance-driven investment strategies in the hospitality sector—where operational discipline and technology integration define long-term success.
