TajSATS, a subsidiary of Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and India’s largest airline catering company, has opened a new in-flight kitchen at Noida International Airport in Jewar, strengthening its presence in the Delhi NCR region.
Located within the upcoming airport complex, the facility is designed to cater to both domestic and international airlines operating from Noida International Airport and support the growing aviation demand in northern India.
The new unit spans 45,000 square feet and has an initial production capacity of more than 20,000 meals per day, with provisions for future expansion as passenger traffic and airline operations increase.
Manish Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of TajSATS, said the facility represents a strategic investment aligned with the next phase of India’s aviation growth and strengthens the company’s operational footprint in one of the country’s fastest-growing aviation corridors.
He said the facility will enable TajSATS to support airline partners while also expanding opportunities in institutional and corporate catering segments across the Delhi NCR market.
The kitchen incorporates advanced food production, safety and security systems, including X-ray machines, goods scanners and modern operational equipment to meet aviation catering standards.
A dedicated tasting and culinaryculinary innovation space, named ‘The Atelier’, has been established within the facility to allow chefs and airline partners to collaborate on menu development and curated onboard dining experiences.
The facility also includes bonded warehousing and airline storage infrastructure aimed at supporting long-term partnerships with airline customers.
In addition to serving aviation clients, the operation will support institutional and corporate catering requirements through Nekta Food Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of TajSATS.
The opening comes as Noida International Airport prepares for commercial operations, with the airport expected to emerge as a major aviation gateway for the National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh.
