Hyderabad-based Viceroy Hotels Limited has announced its plans to acquire Marriott Executive Apartments, Hyderabad, in a deal valued at INR206 crore, marking a significant move to strengthen its presence in the premium and extended-stay hospitality segment.
The acquisition will be executed through the purchase of SLN Terminus Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, the entity that owns the Marriott-branded property. Upon completion of the transaction, SLN Terminus will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Viceroy Hotels, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Located in Gachibowli, one of Hyderabad’s key IT and commercial hubs, the property comprises 75 executive apartments and caters largely to long-stay business travellers and corporate executives. The transaction includes the acquisition of land, repayment of inter-corporate loans and transfer of equity shares.
The deal received shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting held on December 27, underscoring investor backing for the company’s expansion strategy.
The acquisition aligns with Viceroy Hotels’ broader growth plans to scale up its hospitality portfolio and deepen its footprint in high-demand urban markets, as the company targets significant inventory expansion over the coming years.
