Revenue Growth Anchored by Value Strategy and Digital Push
Westlife Foodworld, which operates McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India, reported an 8.7 per cent year-on-year rise in Q4 FY26 revenue at ₹6.55 billion, reflecting stable consumer demand despite a challenging operating environment. The company sustained positive same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 1.5 per cent during the quarter, supported by healthy guest traffic and stronger brand engagement.
The company’s dine-in and takeaway business remained resilient, growing 9 per cent year-on-year and contributing 58 per cent of total sales. Off-premise channels also continued to expand, with McDelivery emerging as a significant growth driver amid rising consumer preference for convenience-led ordering.
Margins Improve Through Cost Optimisation
Westlife Foodworld reported a 70 basis point improvement in restaurant operating margins, while operating EBITDA rose 9.6 per cent year-on-year to ₹870 million. Gross margins expanded sequentially by around 60 basis points, driven by supply chain efficiencies and disciplined cost management.
Despite inflationary pressures on LPG and key commodities, the company maintained profitability through proactive sourcing strategies and operational efficiencies. Cash PAT for the quarter stood at ₹487 million, accounting for 7.4 per cent of sales.
Aggressive Expansion Continues
The company added 21 restaurants during the quarter, taking its total network to 478 restaurants across 78 cities. Westlife remains on track to achieve its medium-term target of 580–630 restaurants by 2027, with expansion supported by the continued rollout of Experience of the Future (EOTF) and McCafé formats.
Digital Channels Strengthen Consumer Connect
Digital continued to remain a major focus area for the company, contributing nearly 76 per cent of overall sales. Westlife reported approximately 3.5 million monthly active users and around 52 million cumulative app downloads, reflecting growing consumer adoption of digital ordering platforms.
The company also continued to strengthen its affordability strategy through initiatives such as Everyday Value Meals at ₹99, McCafé subscription programmes and merchandise-led campaigns aimed at improving frequency and customer loyalty.
Leadership Outlook
Westlife Foodworld said its long-term focus remains on building a seamless omni-channel ecosystem while sustaining profitability and expanding aggressively in India’s growing quick service restaurant market.
