Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the signing of a management agreement with Shah Lagoo Properties LLP to launch Hyatt Place Kolhapur Sangli, strengthening its portfolio in India’s fast-growing secondary cities.
The upcoming hotel, located within SL Highstreet — a mixed-use development featuring retail and office spaces — underscores Hyatt’s continued strategy to expand its select-service brand in high-potential regional markets.
Planned with 115 guestrooms, the property will feature a 24/7 dining outlet, fitness center, swimming pool, and banquet and meeting spaces designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. Its location within Maharashtra’s vibrant Kolhapur–Sangli corridor positions it to capture demand from regional corporate traffic, industrial clusters, and domestic tourism.
“Hyatt Place Kolhapur Sangli will mark another milestone in our efforts to deepen our presence across India’s key growth corridors,” the company said in a statement. “Our focus remains on expanding in emerging markets where quality accommodation and branded service offerings are in demand.”
The partnership with Shah Lagoo Properties LLP reinforces Hyatt’s confidence in India’s hospitality growth story. Over recent years, the brand has accelerated signings and openings across Tier-II and Tier-III cities, aligning with the country’s expanding travel infrastructure and rising middle-class mobility.
While the opening timeline has not been disclosed, Hyatt Place Kolhapur Sangli is part of the group’s broader pipeline aimed at enhancing accessibility to its select-service brand for domestic travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and value.
