CG Hospitality Global and Marriott International have signed a strategic agreement to introduce the Series by Marriott brand across Greater China, with plans to jointly develop approximately 100 hotels over the next few years, significantly expanding their hospitality footprint in one of the world’s largest travel markets.
The partnership will commence with four Arro Khampa boutique resorts in Southwest China joining the Series by Marriott portfolio by the end of 2026, marking the brand’s formal entry into the Greater China market.
Announcing the development, Rahul Chaudhary, Managing Director and CEO of CG Corp Global and CG Hospitality Holdings, said the collaboration represents a major milestone in the group’s growing relationship with Marriott. He emphasized that the initiative goes beyond expansion, focusing on preserving local identity while leveraging Marriott’s global distribution network and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty ecosystem.
The agreement further strengthens a rapidly expanding partnership between CG Hospitality and Marriott across Asia and the Middle East. Over the past two years, both companies have collaborated on projects including The Farm at San Benito in the Philippines, Series by Marriott developments in India, JW Marriott Residences in Dubai, and Ritz-Carlton and Westin properties in Nepal.
Industry observers view the move as a strategic effort to capitalize on rising demand for experiential and locally inspired hospitality offerings. By integrating independent boutique properties into Marriott’s global platform, the partners aim to combine authentic regional experiences with international service standards and loyalty-driven customer reach.
The planned rollout of 100 hotels positions Greater China as a key growth market for Series by Marriott and underscores the increasing importance of branded soft-brand collections in the evolving global hospitality landscape.
