Hilton has officially launched its fast-growing economy brand, Spark by Hilton, in the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of its first two properties in India, marking a major step in the company’s ambitious plan to develop 150 Spark hotels nationwide.
The debut properties—Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road and Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute—feature 82 and 64 keys respectively and are designed to cater to India’s rapidly expanding segment of value-conscious business and leisure travelers.
The launch follows Hilton’s strategic partnership with Olive Hospitality to roll out 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India over the coming years. Additional properties are already planned in Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot and Hyderabad.
Positioned as a smart-value hospitality brand, Spark by Hilton combines affordable pricing with standardized service quality and technology-enabled guest experiences. The India-specific offering includes complimentary breakfast featuring DIY dosa stations, self-service chai carts, digital check-in, Digital Key access, mobile-based service requests and integration with the Hilton Honors loyalty platform.
Alan Watts said India remains one of Hilton’s most important growth markets in Asia Pacific, driven by rising travel demand, growing consumer confidence and increasing preference for branded hospitality offerings. He noted that Spark by Hilton is designed to scale rapidly while delivering consistent guest experiences.
The brand, launched globally in 2023, has emerged as one of Hilton’s fastest-growing hospitality concepts, with more than 240 operational hotels and nearly 230 additional properties under development across multiple international markets.
Industry experts view the rollout as asignificant move in the organized mid-market hospitality segment, where demand is rising among domestic travelers seeking reliable accommodations backed by global standards. Through its asset-light conversion model, Spark by Hilton is expected to accelerate the formalization of India’s value-driven hotel sector while expanding Hilton’s footprint across key business and leisure destinations.
