Omaxe Limited has announced the launch of a dedicated hospitality vertical with a proposed investment of ₹6,200 crore to develop 19 hotels across 13 cities in five states over the next four to five years, marking a major diversification into tourism and hospitality infrastructure.
The planned portfolio, spanning nearly 5 million sq. ft., will be integrated with Omaxe’s existing townships, mixed-use developments, commercial projects and public infrastructure assets, reinforcing the company’s strategy of creating integrated urban destinations.
The largest concentration of projects will be in Uttar Pradesh, where 12 hotels are planned across Ayodhya, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kaushambi and Vrindavan. Additional developments are proposed in New Delhi, Faridabad, Ujjain, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Ludhiana, expanding the developer’s hospitality footprint across five states.
A key component of the expansion is the 158-key Gateway Hotel at The Omaxe State, to be managed by IHCL as part of The Omaxe State, a 50.4-acre integrated destination being developed under a public-private partnership with the Delhi Development Authority. Omaxe also plans to build transit-oriented hospitality infrastructure through its PPP projects with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.
Mohit Goel said hospitality is a natural extension of the company’s integrated development strategy, driven by improving connectivity, rising religious tourism and increasing travel demand across emerging urban markets. He noted that the projects are expected to strengthen Omaxe’s recurring revenue portfolio while supporting local economic activity.
The proposed hospitality portfolio willcater to business travel, leisure tourism, MICE, destination weddings and pilgrimage tourism through a mix of midscale, upscale, luxury hotels, high-capacity pilgrimage properties and serviced apartments.
Subject to project execution and market conditions, Omaxe expects the hospitality business to generate annual revenues of around ₹1,000 crore after stabilisation. The company added that it is in advanced discussions with leading domestic and international hotel operators for branding and management partnerships, with formal agreements expected to be announced in due course.
