Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the formation of a dedicated Select Service Businessorganisation, bringing together its high-growth brands Ginger, Tree of Life, amã Stays & Trails and Qmin under a unified leadership structure as part of its long-term growth strategy.
The move follows the recent inclusion of ANK Hotels and Pride Hospitality into the IHCL ecosystem and is aimed at accelerating scale, innovation and profitability across multiple hospitality segments.
Announcing the development, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said the company’s emerging brands and businesses have achieved significant scale and are now poised for the next phase of growth.
“The new and emerging brands and business of IHCL have achieved significant scale with the recent inclusion of ANK Hotels and Pride Hospitality. Under the newly formed Select Service Business vertical, IHCL brings together a portfolio of 260 Ginger hotels, over 40 Tree of Life resorts, more than 360 bungalows under amã Stays & Trails and over 100 Qmin outlets. This will serve as IHCL’s non-linear growth engine, driving scale, innovation and profitable growth across diverse hospitality segments,” Chhatwal said.
The newly created vertical will oversee a portfolio spanning midscale hotels, experiential leisure resorts, premium homestays and food and beverage businesses. The portfolio currently comprises approximately 260 Ginger hotels, 40-plus Tree of Life resorts, 360-plus amã Stays & Trails bungalows, and more than 100 Qmin outlets.
According to IHCL, the consolidated structure is expected to enhance operational synergies while enabling each brand to pursue distinct growth opportunities within its respective segment.
Chhatwal added that the company expects the Select Service Business to emerge as a key contributor to IHCL’s Accelerate 2030 strategy.
“These high-growth brands with distinct market positioning will capitalise on emerging opportunities, enabling the Select Service Business to deliver an enterprise revenue CAGR of over 25 percent under Accelerate 2030,” he said.
As part of the restructuring, Deepika Rao has been redesignated as Executive Vice President, Select Service Business, IHCL. She will lead the newly formed vertical along with a dedicated leadership team responsible for driving performance across the four brands operating under five separate legal entities.
The leadership team includes Aveek Sengupta, Brand Leader – Tree of Life; Anika Gupta, Senior Vice President Development and Brand Leader – amã Stays & Trails; Gazal Chowdhri, Brand Leader – Qmin; alongside functional leaders overseeing operations, commercial strategy, marketing, finance and human resources.
The creation of the Select Service Business underscores IHCL’s focus on expanding beyond its traditional luxury and upscale hotel portfolio into high-growth segments such as branded homestays, experiential travel, midscale hospitality and food services. Industry observers view the move as a strategic step to unlock value from brands that cater to evolving traveller preferences while supporting the company’s ambition of sustained double-digit growth over the coming years.
