Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened Vivanta Aluva, Kochi, strengthening its expansion in Kerala’s commercial and urban cluster markets. The 92-room hotel marks IHCL’s entry into the Aluva micro-market within the Kochi Metropolitan region, a transit-linked business node driven by manufacturing, trade, mobility corridors and cultural tourism.
Deepika Rao, EVP – New Businesses & Hotel Openings, IHCL, said the launch extends IHCL’s brand portfolio into emerging metropolitan catchments where demand is increasingly B2B-led. IHCL confirmed Aluva’s corporate density, multimodal connectivity and location along the Periyar River economic belt were key factors behind the signing and opening cycle.
The hotel houses 92 rooms and suites, designed with marketable visual anchors inspired by Kochi’s Chinese fishing nets, positioning the property for experience-driven commercial differentiation. Operational assets include rooftop pool, spa, gym, fitness centre, banquet and meeting facilities, and three F&B formats—Mynt (all-day dining), The Ace (rooftop bar-beque), and Swirl (patisserie)—supporting both business travel occupancy and events-led topline mix.
The opening expands IHCL’s state network to 22 hotels across Kerala, including 6 under development, reinforcing its pipeline scale and cluster strategy in the region.
