Marking International Labour Day with warmth and gratitude, the Institute of Hotel Management Ranchi organised a special programme dedicated to its support staff, recognising the invaluable contribution of the institution’s workforce and frontline employees.
The celebration brought together faculty members, non-teaching staff, security personnel and students in an atmosphere filled with appreciation, participation and togetherness. Adding a personal touch to the event, fun activities including musical chairs and cup pyramid games were organised exclusively for the support staff, creating moments of joy and laughter across the campus.
As a gesture of gratitude, the housekeeping staff were presented with umbrellas while security personnel received torches, acknowledging their dedication and everyday commitment towards the institution.
Speaking during the programme, Principal Dr. Bhupesh Kumar highlighted the vital role played by support staff in the smooth functioning and continued progress of the institute. He noted that the strength of any institution lies in the commitment and sincerity of its workforce, whose contributions often work quietly behind the scenes.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, bringing everyone together to celebrate the spirit of Labour Day and honour the people who form the backbone of the institution.
