Xandari Resorts, a part of the Muthoot Leisure & Hospitality Division, has announced plans to expand its presence in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India and select international markets. Known for its sustainable tourism practices, the company aims to open 3–4 new resorts within the next couple of years.
Currently operating five properties—including four in Kerala (Fort Kochi, Mararikulam, Houseboat, and Thekkady) and one in Costa Rica—Xandari Resorts plans to extend its footprint to destinations such as Sawantwadi in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Bhutan, and additional locations in Costa Rica.
George Muthoot George, Managing Director of Xandari Resorts, shared insights into the expansion strategy. “Each new property will involve an investment of approximately ₹45 crore. Our goal is to bring sustainable tourism to emerging destinations in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, which we believe will become the next major hubs for travel in the coming years.”
The move aligns with Xandari’s commitment to eco-conscious luxury and immersive guest experiences. The upcoming resorts are expected to complement the brand’s existing portfolio while catering to the growing demand for authentic and sustainable travel experiences in less crowded locations.
