PRISM Expands Extended-Stay Presence in US With 38 New Hotels
PRISM, the corporate parent of OYO, has expanded its extended-stay hospitality strategy in the United States with the launch of 38 new hotels under the Studio 6 portfolio within G6 Hospitality.
The newly launched hotels are spread across major gateway cities including New York City, Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix, alongside business hubs such as Charlotte, St. Louis, Richmond, and Indianapolis. The expansion also includes leisure-focused markets like Las Vegas and suburban destinations including Oakland, Greenville, and Pasadena.
The hotels are designed to cater to long-stay travelers such as corporate professionals, relocating families, project-based workers, medical staff, and construction crews. Extended-stay properties typically feature fully equipped kitchenettes, workspaces, self-service laundry facilities, high-speed internet, and flexible housekeeping services.
Most of the newly launched hotels operate with approximately 100 to 120 rooms, allowing PRISM to focus on operational efficiency while serving diverse long-duration stay requirements.
The company said the extended-stay segment offers structural advantages over traditional hospitality models due to lower room turnover, reduced housekeeping frequency, lower customer acquisition costs, and more stable occupancy patterns.
The latest rollout follows the launch of eight Studio 6 hotels earlier this year, bringing the total number of newly introduced extended-stay properties to 38. The move represents a significant milestone for an India-origin hospitality company expanding aggressively in the competitive U.S. lodging market.
Ritesh Agarwal said the U.S. market is witnessing rising demand for dependable and affordable long-duration accommodation driven by project-based travel, temporary relocations, and renovation-related stays.
“This expansion aims to bring a tech-enabled, operations-first approach to hospitality while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and an elevated guest experience at scale,” Agarwal said.
PRISM also plans to deploy India-built technology systems, AI capabilities, and revenue management tools across the portfolio to strengthen operational performance and guest engagement.
The expansion follows PRISM’s acquisition of G6 Hospitality in a deal valued at approximately $525 million, further strengthening the company’s global hospitality ambitions.
Industry observers note that the extended-stay hospitality segment continues to attract strong investor interest in the United States due to resilient demand patterns, efficient economics, and rising demand for flexible accommodation solutions.
