SAMHI Hotels has entered into an agreement with Ingka Centres India Private Limited to develop an upscale 162-room hotel as part of a large mixed-use project in Noida, further strengthening the region’s hospitality landscape.
Part of Landmark Mixed-Use Development
The hotel will be located within Ingka Centres’ upcoming 2.5 million sq. ft. “Meeting Places” development, a mixed-use concept integrating retail, leisure, and community spaces. The project is positioned as a marquee addition to Noida’s skyline and is expected to enhance its standing as a key commercial and hospitality hub in the Delhi-NCR region.
Strategic Collaboration and Operating Model
The partnership combines SAMHI’s institutional hotel ownership and asset management platform with Ingka Centres’ global expertise in mixed-use developments.
The project will follow SAMHI’s capital-efficient, long-term variable lease model. Under this structure, Ingka Centres will develop and lease the building, including façade and core infrastructure, while SAMHI will invest in interior fit-outs. The hotel will operate under an international brand, which is yet to be announced.
Expanding Presence in Delhi-NCR
This development further strengthens SAMHI’s footprint in the National Capital Region, where it already operates multiple properties, including Hyatt Place Gurgaon, Holiday Inn Express Gurgaon, and Holiday Inn Express Greater Noida.
Leadership Commentary
Ashish Jakhanwala described the collaboration as a significant milestone, highlighting the company’s continued focus on scaling through asset-light and capital-efficient models. He noted that the Noida project benefits from strong demand fundamentals and aligns with SAMHI’s growth strategy in high-potential urban markets.
Giovanni Princiotta Cariddi added that the partnership reflects Ingka Centres’ vision of creating integrated destinations where people can live, work, shop, and stay, with hospitality playing a key role in enhancing overall visitor experience.
Boost to Noida’s Hospitality Ecosystem
The addition of the upscale hotel is expected to support increasing demand from business travellers, retail visitors, and the growing corporate ecosystem in Noida. As mixed-use developments gain traction across urban India, such integrated hospitality projects are likely to play a key role in shaping future city infrastructure.
