Tilaknagar Industries Ltd (TI), a leading Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) company, has made a follow-on investment of INR 10.66 crore in premium craft liquor maker Spaceman Spirits Lab Pvt Ltd (SSL), known for brands like Samsara Gin, Sitara Rum, and Amara Vodka.
This infusion raises TI’s stake in SSL from 12.98% to 21.36% on a fully diluted basis. Of the total, INR 9.15 crore is part of the previously announced INR 13.15 crore commitment made in September 2024, while INR 1.51 crore has been used to acquire shares from early SSL investors.
TI has subscribed to 1,772 equity shares and 11,752 compulsorily convertible preference shares, and acquired 2,236 equity shares from existing shareholders.
The investment signals TI’s confidence in the rising demand for premium craft spirits. “Our continued investment reflects strong belief in Spaceman’s innovation-led portfolio and its future growth potential,” said Ameya Deshpande, President – Strategy and Corporate Development, Tilaknagar Industries.
Aditya Aggarwal, Founder and MD of Spaceman Spirits Lab, called the partnership a “bold new chapter,” stating that TI’s wide distribution network will help the brand expand its national reach.
SSL plans to diversify into new product categories such as whisky, heritage liqueurs, and tequila. The company expects nearly 70% revenue growth and 60% volume growth in FY26.
Additionally, under a Usership Agreement signed earlier, TI began distribution of SSL’s products in selected Indian states and international markets from May 2025.
