Wyndham Hotels & Resorts signed 25 hotels and opened 13 properties across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA) during the first half of 2026, underscoring its expansion strategy in high-growth markets such as Türkiye, India and Central Asia.
The company now operates more than 750 hotels with over 99,000 rooms across the region, supported by growing demand for branded accommodation, destination-led travel and emerging tourism markets.
Türkiye remained Wyndham’s most active development market, accounting for the majority of the region’s openings. New additions included TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Maltepe, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Midyat, Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Adana and the country’s first Ramada Residences by Wyndham Istanbul Haramidere. The company said its diversified brand strategy continues to cater to corporate, leisure, resort and domestic travel segments.
Across Europe and the CIS region, Wyndham expanded through openings such as Wyndham Grand Carvoeiro Algarve in Portugal, Wyndham Mallorca Portocolom Resort in Spain and Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Tashkent in Uzbekistan. New signings included projects in Uzbekistan, Albania and Serbia, reflecting growing investor interest in emerging tourism destinations.
India remained one of Wyndham’s fastest-growing markets globally. During the first half of the year, the company opened Ramada Encore by Wyndham Ayodhya and signed 11 new hotels across destinations including Vrindavan, Jaipur and Khajuraho. Wyndham’s India portfolio now exceeds 150 hotels operating and under development.
Commenting on the growth, Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said expansion is increasingly being driven by secondary cities, emerging destinations and branded residential developments as travellers seek authentic experiences beyond traditional gateway markets.
In the Middle East, Wyndham signed five new projects across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, including a branded residences development at Dubai Islands, further strengthening its presence in one of the region’s key long-term growth markets.
