DS Group has announced the launch of a 200-room luxury hotel under Marriott International’s W Hotels brand near Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi NCR, with operations expected to commence in the second half of 2027.
The project, involving an estimated investment of ₹400 crore, will be developed near Aerocity, one of the capital region’s key hospitality and commercial hubs catering to both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel will mark the debut of the W Hotels brand in Delhi NCR and become only the second W Hotels property in India after Goa. The development is expected to introduce a lifestyle-led luxury offering to a market largely dominated by traditional luxury hotel brands.
Announcing the project, DS Group Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar said the Indian hospitality sector is experiencing strong growth driven by rising domestic travel demand and a shortage of quality hotel supply in the premium segment.
He noted that India’s hotel penetration remains significantly below global averages, creating substantial opportunities for expansion in the organised hospitality sector. He added that Delhi continues to serve as a critical gateway for corporate, diplomatic and international travellers.
Nathan Andrews, Business Head – Hospitality, DS Group, said the project forms part of the company’s strategy to expand its hospitality portfolio to 10-12 hotels by FY29. He said Aerocity’s strong demand fundamentals and revenue growth make it an attractive location for a globally recognised luxury lifestyle brand.
Marriott International Senior Vice President, South Asia, Kiran Andicot, said the signing reflects the company’s continued expansion in India and will introduce a new luxury hospitality experience tailored to evolving traveller preferences in the Delhi NCR market.
The upcoming hotel will feature W Hotels’ signature design-led approach, incorporating social spaces, experiential programming and lifestyle-driven hospitality concepts aimed at modern luxury travellers.
DS Group said the development aligns with its broader hospitality growth strategy, which includes plans to double its room inventory by 2029 and invest approximately ₹1,000 crore in the sector over the coming years.
The company currently operates six hospitality assets, including Namah Nainital, Namah Jim Corbett, Radisson Blu Guwahati, InterContinental Jaipur, Renaissance Bengaluru and Holiday Inn Express Kolkata.
The W Hotels project is expectedexpected to strengthen DS Group’s presence in the luxury hospitality segment while expanding Marriott International’s premium brand portfolio in India.
