A delegation from the Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) visited Auroville to delve into its pioneering practices in conscious living and human unity.
The delegation was introduced to Auroville’s vision, originally conceptualized by The Mother, spiritual collaborator of Sri Aurobindo, as a hub for human unity and transformative consciousness. According to a press note, the group engaged with key committees to gain insights into Auroville’s master plan and its significance for humanity.
During their visit, the group toured the iconic Matrimandir, Svaram, and various sustainable enterprises. They also collected seeds to plant in Rajasthan, symbolizing the exchange of sustainable practices between regions.
Prominent delegates included Manju Kumari (Alsisar), Prithvi Singhji and Pratibha Kumari (Kanota), Sushila Takera (Pune), Bhavna Kumari and Shatrunjai Singhji (Deogarh), Rajendra Singhji (Pachar), Deepraj Singhji (Bharatpur), Angad Singhji, and Shivarjun Singhji (Mandawa).
The visit also opened avenues for potential collaborations between India’s heritage hospitality sector and sustainable community models, focusing on the integration of traditional values with modern sustainable practices. This initiative highlights a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and conscious tourism.
