The Ascott Limited (Ascott), CapitaLand Investment’s lodging arm, is intensifying talent development efforts to back its ambitious plan of opening over 300 new properties worldwide by 2028. This expansion will create 12,000+ jobs, including 1,500 leadership roles.
To power this growth, Ascott has launched Ascott Accelerate, a structured program to fast-track high-potential talent into property leadership roles. This initiative is complemented by a new digital learning platform offering flexible development opportunities for associates at all levels.
Part of the Ascott Global Academy for Excellence (AGAX), launched in 2024, these initiatives aim to build a future-ready workforce. Out-of-classroom programs like the Ascott Global Exchange Programme and Learning Festivals provide cross-cultural interactions and best-practice insights, enhancing global collaboration.
Ascott’s growth strategy includes a multi-typology brand framework, scaling its presence across serviced residences, hotels, resorts, and branded spaces. Malaysia, with a portfolio of 40+ properties, exemplifies this strategy. Penang hosted the launch of Ascott Accelerate, underscoring its importance to Ascott’s broader vision.
“Our associates are key to delivering heartfelt experiences,” said COO Lee Ngor Houai, emphasizing the company’s commitment to nurturing talent as it scales globally.
