Riding some staggering growth out of India market over the last couple of years, Cross Hotels & Resorts, with significant presence in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Bali, was recently in India on a three-city, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, road show.
Highlighting the growing importance of India market for the hospitality chain, Cross Hotels & Resorts’ Vice President – Commercial, Andrew Hartley, said that from 2023 to 2024, the hotel chain has witnessed a growth of staggering 275 per cent and is further expecting a robust at least 40 per cent growth in 2025.
Sharing his company’s continuing year-after-year growth secret, Hartley, said, “It’s all about engaging with our key partners here. India has been such an amazing success for us. We have seen incredible growth. A lot what we do is thanking our partners, making sure that we are engaged, listening to how we can further succeed and grow together. It’s about having true partnership with our agents.”
Cross Hotels & Resorts currently operates 28 hotels across six distinct lifestyle brands – Cross, Cross Vibe, Away, Lumen, Cross Collection, and Kaura. These properties are located in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya in Thailand and Bali in Indonesia. “Our brands really appeals to the whole diverse nature of the Indian consumers. We have got an amazing range of products in these markets,” Hartley pointed.
Furthermore, Hartley also informed that Cross is planning to script some major expansion in the coming years in order to expand its services and offerings.
Commenting on future expansion, Hartley said that Cross is eyeing a 100 property portfolio within the next five years. “We have high potential of further openings coming up. Only by May 2025 itself, we will be opening two new hotels in Bangkok,” he said. Cross is readying to add a 200-key Cross Vibe and an Away property, both of which are great product by location, experiences and facilities such as meeting space etc.
Furthermore, Cross is also expanding in two new markets, Vietnam and Japan. “Along with Bangkok and Indonesia, these will be the four key countries where we will continue to grow. We are looking at planting our flags throughout these countries,” said Hartley while concluding
