Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd (LTHL) said its material subsidiary, Fleur Hotels, has received a letter of award (LoA) from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for the licence rights to develop a luxury hotel on a 2.256-acre land parcel in Nehru Place, one of the capital’s busiest commercial hubs.
The project, to be developed under Lemon Tree’s upper-upscale brand Aurika, will feature more than 500 rooms, premium dining, expansive banqueting facilities, and leisure amenities, positioning it among the largest hotels in Delhi. The upcoming Aurika, Nehru Place will also mark the brand’s debut in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The licence, awarded on August 14, is valid for 12 months and subject to compliance with DDA’s conditions and tender requirements. The company said the development will encompass design, construction, and operations, with the property modeled on Aurika, Mumbai SkyCity but infused with a “distinctive Delhi flair” to appeal to both business and leisure travellers.
“Delhi has always been a strategic focus for us. Aurika’s entry will deliver a luxury experience that is about living, not just staying — a landmark in style, comfort, and service for the region,” said Patanjali Keswani, chairman and managing director, Lemon Tree Hotels.
Lemon Tree, India’s largest mid-priced and third-largest overall hotel chain, operates across upscale, upper-midscale, midscale, and economy segments. In Q1 FY26, the company reported a 93.49% surge in consolidated net profit to INR 38.33 crore, while revenue from operations rose 17.82% year-on-year to INR 315.77 crore.
