The Indian hospitality sector is buzzing with optimism, as April 2025 marked another month of strong year-on-year growth, according to the latest HVS ANAROCK report, MONITOR (Monthly Overview of National Industry Trends and Hospitality Report).
The sector’s occupancy rate saw a slight improvement compared to March 2025, even though average rates moderated during the same period. This steady performance reflects robust demand in key markets, driven by a mix of leisure and business travel.
Mumbai and New Delhi maintained their positions as the country’s leading hotel markets. Mumbai led the pack with occupancy levels between 79–81%, while New Delhi closely followed with 78–80%. These cities also commanded the highest average rates, with Mumbai exceeding INR 11,500 and New Delhi crossing INR 10,500 for the month.
