Oetker Hotels and Eden Rock – St Barths have announced key leadership appointments across their luxury hospitality portfolio, with Fabrice Moizan set to become President and Managing Director of Le Bristol Paris and Jean-Alexis Costa promoted to General Manager of Eden Rock – St Barths.
The appointments mark a significant leadership transition within the Oetker Hotels collection, with Moizan taking charge of the iconic Parisian palace hotel from October 1, 2026, while Costa assumes his new role at Eden Rock from September 1, 2026.
Widely recognised within the global hospitality industry, Moizan currently serves as General Manager of Eden Rock – St Barths and was named Best Hotelier at DUCO France 2025. His appointment comes as Le Bristol Paris embarks on a new chapter following celebrations marking its centenary year.
Over the past decade, Moizan worked closely with David and Jane Matthews, creators of Eden Rock – St Barths, helping shape the property’s growth and evolution. Alongside Jean-Alexis Costa, he played a pivotal role in rebuilding the resort following Hurricane Irma, overseeing its restoration and guiding a period of sustained commercial growth that saw the property receive recognition from global rankings including the World’s 50 Best Hotels, Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, and Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
During his tenure, Moizan also helped expand Eden Rock’s business portfolio through ventures such as villa rentals, yacht charters, retail boutiques, and collaborations with luxury brands including Chopard, Goyard, and Assouline.
Commenting on the move, Moizan said it had been an honour to lead Eden Rock and described the opportunity to head Le Bristol Paris as a milestone in his career. He noted that the role represents a full-circle moment, as his mentor, Pierre Ferchaud, previously led the legendary hotel for nearly two decades.
Taking over at Eden Rock – St Barths is Jean-Alexis Costa, who has worked alongside Moizan for several years and brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience. Costa began his career at Le Bristol Paris, progressing through operational and leadership positions before joining Eden Rock, where he played a key role in the resort’s development and guest experience strategy.
Timo Gruenert, CEO of Oetker Hotels, praised both executives for their leadership and contribution to the group, highlighting their commitment to the company’s values of elegance, family spirit, and exceptional hospitality.
James Matthews, Chairman of Eden Rock – St Barths, thanked Moizan for his contribution to the resort’s success and expressed confidence in Costa’s ability to continue driving the property’s growth and reputation as one of the world’s leading luxury resorts.
The appointments reflect Oetker Hotels’ continued focus on internal talent development and leadership succession across its portfolio of luxury properties worldwide.
